SAMUEL GRANBY, JR. “Service To Mankind” Samuel Granby, Jr., affectionately called “Granby” by his family and friends, has used this quotation as a guide in fulfilling his life.

After his Honorable Discharge from the United States Army in 1955, he attended and graduated from McAllister School of Embalming.

The Lord Opened Many Doors       For many years, Mr. Granby operated his Funeral Business from the Wiley’s Funeral Home. He always maintained faith that one day he would own his own funeral establishment. On April 27, 1984, this dream became a reality. Mr. Granby’s children currently work with him in the family funeral business.

Mr. Granby, his family and staff are involved with several community organizations, which give Scholarships to our youth. Mr. Granby firmly believes that “Education is the key to uplifting our community.”

AYRIS EVANS GRANBY “An Inspiration To All” Mrs. Ayris B. Granby, Registered Nurse. The title alone is impressive, but it does not address the accomplishments of this great and beautiful lady.

Mrs. Granby has been and is the “Right Hand” to her husband, “Granby”, in both their personal and business lives. Mrs. Granby has given to her husband the love, understanding, support, knowledge, and most importantly her time in the establishment of the Granby’s Funeral Service, Inc.

Mrs. Granby’s belief is “Quality Education Must Be Available For Our Young People”. It was from Mrs. Granby’s inspiration that the Granby’s Funeral Service, Inc. began to award scholarships to the young people of the community through the various community organizations.

AYRIS B. GRANBY, the daughter of Samuel and Ayris Granby is the Business Manager of the Granby’s Funeral Service, Inc. Ms. Granby co- manages the Funeral Home with her brother, Lamont, with emphasis on the administration of services.

In 1984, Ms. Granby joined her father in business as the Business Manager of Granby’s Funeral Service, Inc. In order to assist her family, Ms. Granby attended and graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute for Funeral Service (the Alma Mater of both her father and brother). Today, Ms. Granby is a New York State Licensed Funeral Director. Ms. Granby and her brother are Second Generation Funeral Directors.

LAMONT SAMUEL GRANBY, son of Samuel and Ayris Granby is the Licensed Manager of the Granby’s Funeral Service, Inc., since 1992. He is responsible for the overall management of the Funeral Home.

After graduating from college, Mr. Granby saw a need to join his father in the family business. He enrolled and graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in 1985. He is also a graduate of Drew University with a Masters of Divinity. The Reverend Lamont S. Granby is an Ordained Minister.

The Granby's Funeral Service, Inc. is a service organization whose primary objective is to provide families with the necessary sensitive guidance and support when the death of a loved one has occurred. This organization is governed by the Laws, Administrative Rules and Regulations of the State of New York Relating to Funeral Directing. In order to keep abreast of all the advancements within Funeral Service, Mr. Granby, Ms. Granby and Rev.
