INTRODUCTION

A funeral is a personal affair and it is our desire to render the best service possible to you and your family. As you may be aware, we are guided by local customs and laws in the exercise of our services. If your family or religious customs require special attention, please advise us of your needs and if at all possible we will gladly fulfill your requests.

A funeral declares that a death has occurred. It commemorates the life that has been lived and offers family and friends the opportunity to pay tribute to their loved one. This gathering of family and friends helps to provide emotional support. This will help those grieving to face the reality of death and take the initial steps towards adjustment.

If there are any questions regarding our services, charges or any other information, please feel free to consult us.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS REGARDING FUNERALS

Embalming is not required by law and may not take place without authorization. However, a funeral home may refuse to provide certain types of services, such as viewing, if Embalming is not authorized.

A casket is not required by law for Cremation. A funeral home must offer an “alternative container” for this purpose.

Representations that deterioration of the remains can be prevented for more than a limited time by Embalming, caskets, vaults or outer interment receptacles are prohibited.

An authorization is required for the funeral home to obtain custody of the remains by the next of kin, and the remains must be released upon their request.

In providing “Cash Advances” to third persons for services or merchandise, the funeral home may not charge more than the amount paid to those persons.
The funeral home is required to give General Price information in person and over the telephone.
