On July 12, 2019, a false alarm sounded for Licensed Funeral Director Samuel Granby Jr., owner of Granby's Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Granby was the victim of a malicious hoax when a fake obituary was posted in error by an online obituary publisher without the family’s knowledge. The erroneous post has now been deleted from the publisher’s site at our family’s request.
The Granby Family thanks everyone who has expressed sympathy and concern.
It will not surprise those who know Mr. Granby that he is in fine health. When He started his family vacation he was greeted by the surprising news of his "death".
Granby says "It was upsetting news to read of my own death online! By the grace of God, I am well!"
