Obituary

Kenneth White was born on January 26, 1947 in Long Ground on the island of Montserrat to Viola Tittle and Joseph Dorset. He departed this life on July 7, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.

Kenneth resided in the Bronx since the early 1970’s. He previously lived in England where he attended school and was the only black child in his class for several years. In England, he worked for the post office and a tailor where he developed a love for clothes and good craftsmanship.

Kenneth was married to Mary Ann Allen for 47 years and they had one child, Wendy Taccetta.

Kenneth worked for the “Phone Company” and spent his whole career doing installations and repairs in the White Plains area for business customers.

He was a member of Crawford Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a lifetime fan of Manchester United. And, his favorite pastime was spending time with his family and finding reasons to laugh.

Kenneth has left a whole in our hearts but with a lifetime of memories. He is survived by his mother Viola Tittle, his wife Mary Ann White, his daughter Wendy Taccetta and his son-in-law Dennis Taccetta. He is also mourned by his extended family, Wayne Allen, David Allen, James Allen, Whitney Lovelock, Islyn Osborne, Lesley Osborne, Rosemond Osborne, Dennis Taccetta, Thomas Taccetta and countless other friends and family members.

Excellent friend, what a gentleman. I’ll miss you forever. One on his quotes that I’ll always remember. He said, “Gus, there’s no reason for a person to curse or use foul language. The person that does it, just shows you his lack of vocabulary”
